ADOPT-A-GRANDPARENT PROGRAM There are many people in our church and in our community who are homebound and/or alone and lonely.  A simple phone call, a visit, a card in the mail, some baked cookies.... could bring about a smile and make a big impact in their lives. We are again considering starting an Adopt-A-Grandparent program within our church. Won't you consider "adopting a grandparent?" If you're a family with small children, what a wonderful experience to volunteer together. Studies show that children who learn to volunteer at an early age make it a life-long practice. If you're someone with extra time on your hands, won't you consider sharing your time in an important way. Maybe you're someone who would like to be "adopted." With the holidays fast approaching, it is important to reach out to people now.

CROP WALK 75% of the dollars raised is donated to Church World Service to address world hunger and 25% goes to the Oconomowoc Food Pantry.  Annually held in October.

GUEST HOUSE  The first Monday of each month, we send snacks for the men living at Guest House to take to work for their lunches. We are now volunteering to make breakfast for around 60 men on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Sign ups for this are in the Fellowship Hall. There is also a bin in the kitchen hallway where clothes, toiletries and bedding can be donated for the homeless men at the Guest House. Contact Lynne Wright for more information.

LAKE WALK FOR CANCER The Lake Walk in support of the Oconomowoc Regional Cancer Center is annually held in May.

OCONOMOWOC FOOD PANTRY NEEDS Don’t forget our Oconomowoc Food Pantry. Bring a donation of non-perishable food items to church with you on the first Sunday of each month — or on any Sunday. Put donation(s) in the Food Pantry barrels in various locations throughout the church.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING Our congregation joined ecumenical partners across the nation and the world in the annual special mission appeal One Great Hour of Sharing.  The response of this church is, once again, awe-inspiring.

NEIGHBORS IN NEED In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us that when we reach out to our Neighbors in Need we are actually reaching out to him.  Thank you to the members and friends of this congregation who have responded to this Annual United Church of Christ special offering. People's lives have been saved, children's futures have been provided, and communities hopes have be restored by your act of faith.  You are a blessing.

SINGING COLLECTION Every time we worship, all loose coins that worshippers put in the offering plates are directed to various missions determined by our Mission Ministry.  Because the sound of the coins in the metal plates makes a "Joyful Noise," we call this our Singing Collection.
